BOTTLE SIZE COMING NOVEMBER

Non-Italians may be confused by the word “Cuccidati.” For us, these Sicilian fig cookies are family tradition. Jump to December 1993 and I’m in the kitchen with my grandparents smashing figs, crushing almonds, zesting lemons and measuring spices. We were covered in enough flour to make Tony Montana blush. Why was it so hard to not to drink the vanilla extract?

Cuccidati takes that memory and runs with it: buttery vanilla dough wrapped around caramelized Dottato fig, plum jam, bright citrus, sweet almond and warm spice. Sweet, but not precious. It smells like the comforting chaos of Grandma’s house at Christmas.
